OES Helpful Hints for using the OES Data Search Tool
|

Along with our Occupational Employment Statistics Publication, you can use our OES wages feature under the Data tab of our website to search for information on specific occupation(s) or area(s). The map on this page shows the state defined areas and MSAs for Montana.
Some helpful keys when using the data feature are:
You can select consecutive items in the fields by clicking on the first selection then hold down the shift key and select the last item you want in the field.
For non-consecutive items hold down the control key while you make your selections.
When searching for an occupation you can continue to press the "find it" button to cycle through the list to see the various industries the occupation is in. You do not have to type in the full name of the occupation you can shorten it to the first letters and use the "find it" button to scroll through all occupations with those letters.
To sort your results you can use the up and down arrows to the left of a column heading (up arrow = ascending; down = descending).
