What is PEP Talk and who benefits from it? Those are two excellent questions. PEP Talk stands for Personalized Employment Plan. PEP Talk consists of a simple three step process to develop a personalized employment plan. Step 1: Awareness. Step 2: Exploration. Step 3: The plan. If you decide that you want to create a personalized employment plan PEP Talk is your tool.
PEP Talk is a joint creation between the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI), the Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education (OCHE), and the Office of Public Instruction (OPI).

PEP Talk has been designed so you can go through it on your own or with the assistance of one or our PEP Talk partner Agencies.
PEP Talk Partner Agencies:
- Job Service Workforce Center Offices,
- One-Stop Centers,
- Adult Basic Education Centers,
- and Two-Year Schools.
PEP Talk uses the Montana Career Information System (MCIS) which is now available free to all Montanans. This has been accomplished through a College Access Challenge Grant.
